I am in favor of MANDATORY labeling of bioengineered foods, so that I and all the people I care about can make clear choices about what food we want to put in our bodies. In addition, I am concerned about unknown effects on other species of life (ex: the Monarch Butterfly). While some of the arguments backing bioengineering appear rational and even humane, such as ending world hunger, I do not believe this supposed benefit outweighs the risks of tampering with the delicate balance of nature.
