Sir or Madam:

I am writing to voice my whole-hearted support for the petition by Farm
Sanctuary to prohibit the slaughter of downed animals (Docket  #
98P-0151/CP1).  It is quite a disgusting thought that my family could be
eating meat from these unhealthy animals and it is equally disgusting that
in this prosperous and enlightened country of ours that animals are allowed
to be treated in this manner.  

Ban the slaughter of downed animals.
