Dear  FDA Commissioner Jane Henney:
It is my right to know if the food I eat has been treated with radiation. The
FDA SHOULD NOT weaken labeling regulations for irradiated foods. 

Serious questions exist concerning the safety of irradiation, including the
possibility that it destroys vitamins in foods, creates toxins--like benzene,
which is a carcinogen--of which the long-term effects of consumption are
unknown, produces radioactive waste, exposes workers to radiation and increases
the likelihood for environmental accidents.

I believe that only clear, non-misleading labels are appropriate for irradiated
foods, including prominent posters or signage displayed with products that have
no packaging.
