Dear Madam or Sir,

Please prohibit the slaughter of downed animals.  This 
practice is extremely cruel and is disgusting to those 
who consume the meat from these animals.  

Animals that give up their lives to feed our population 
deserve, at minimum, to be treated decently on their way 
to slaughter.  Allowing sick and injured animals to 
enter our food supply only encourages maltreatment of 
them.  

I urge you to help put an end to the abuse of livestock 
by prohibiting the use of injured or sick animals as 
food destined for human or animal consumption.
