Every survey I've read indicates that the vast majority of citizens wants labels, if not for protection at least to allow a free choice. Organic foods are required by the federal government to be labeled in order to protect the consumer. I think the same concern for the public should be shown by FDA. I urge you to reconsider this proposal and insure that GE foods are subject to pre-market testing and labeling. Americans have a right to make informed decisions about the food we consume.
