(FDA Dockets 00N-1396 and 00D-1598) Dear Corporate and Government Leaders, Genetically engineered food ingredients or crops should not be allowed on the market until: 1) Independent safety testing demonstrates they have no harmful effects on human health or the environment, 2) They are labeled to ensure the consumer's right-to-know, and 3) The biotechnology corporations that manufacture them are held responsible for any harm. Dear Kellogg's and Campbell's, I, like countless others, grew up on your food. Stop testing your new technology on the innocent consumers. I am part of the growing numbers of people who will not eat any genetically altered food substances. I pay higher prices for food I know is safe to eat. There's too much cancer affecting our lives from the known harmful substances, let alone the unknown harmful substances only beginning to surface. I am actively fighting against the campaign to promote genetically engineered food crops. I do not buy your products and I am currently editing an educational video promoting organic crops. My health is very important to me. It should be very important to you too. It should be of very special and serious concern to you because of the impact you can make on people's lives. You cannot dismiss me and my peers. You know we have the intellectual and moral highground. Please step up to the plate and deliver quality, not quantity. We await you at the table. Join us any time. Sincerely, Johanna Harman Sincerely Johanna Harman 2101 Bridgeway, Apt. D Sausalito, California 94965
