From: Anne Dezelski [dezelski@freeway.net] Sent: Thursday, March 01, 2001 8:08 PM To: FDA Subject: morning after pills To the Food and Drug Administration, We understand that a petition has been filed with your administration requesting that the morning-after abortion pills be made available over the counter. These pills should, in fact, be withdrawn from the market entirely. They do not prevent conception, but do in fact cause an abortion. This pill prevents the implantation in the womb of the mother of an already conceived and living, growing, human embryo consisting of several hundred cells. This is not a contraceptive, since conception may have already occurred when the pill takes effect. The use of this pill causes abortion. The proponents of this pill know these facts, yet persist in their attempts to deceive women into using this pill under the pretext that it prevents conception. Therefore, we ask that you deny the request for the morning-after pill to be made available over the counter. Sincerely, Leonard & Anne Dezelski Copies to be sent to our congressmen and the president. Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Dezelski 10140 S. Center Hwy. Traverse City, Mi 49684
