Dear Mr. Commissioner,
As a member of the Center for Science and the Public
Interest, I urge you to invest more resources to
ensure that our food is safer for people with food
allergies.  Specifically, 1) food labels should
completely and accurately list the presence of all
known allergens, including those used in flavoring; 2)
food manufacturers should adopt measures to prevent
the unintentional contamination of their products with
undeclared food allergens; 3) food manufacturers
should include a toll-free number on their labels so
that consumers can call them with questions about the
ingredients in a product.
