Specifically, 1) food labels should completely and accurately list the presence of all known allergens, including those used in flavoring; 2) food manufacturers should adopt measures to prevent the unintentional contamination of their products with undeclared food allergens; 3) food manufacturers should include a toll-free number on their labels so that consumers can call them with questions about the ingredients in a product.
