Subject: downed animals
I'm writing you on behalf of  Docket number 98P-051/CP1. The petition to 
prevent the slaughter of downed animals. I recently found out with horror how 
these animals inhumanely treated. How in heaven's name can ANY human being, 
no matter what position of authority they hold allow such barbaric treatment. 
Industry experts have determined that the great majority of these animals 
could be prevented from being put in such predicaments with better care and 
handling. I urge you to stop this inhumane treatment as soon as possible. 
Animals feel pain, you and I both know that. Your acting on this situation 
immediatly can put an end to it. 

It's up to you, no fooling.
