To whom it may concern,

          This email is in protest to the way in which the government is
handling genetically engineered food labeling.  As a citizen of a democratic
society each and every American has the right to know exactly what they are
taking into their body.  Genetically engineered food is highly controversial
and each person has a right to choose whether or not they wish to ingest
modified food.  I personally object to the way in which the government is
handling the production and distributions of genetically modified food
products and do not wish to ingest any food that has undergone genetic
manipulation.  I am very careful what types of food I feed to my family and
resent the attempt to hide genetically engineered food by allowing such
products to be put on the grocers shelves without proper testing and
labeling.  The consumer has a right to know and people all over this nation
who feel the same way I do will not silently sit by while you cover-up this
scandal.  I sincerely hope you will take the populace seriously in this
matter and vote for mandatory testing and labeling of any and all products
that contain genetically modified components.
