I am convinced genetically engineered foods are unsafe. We have no long (enough) term studies of the effects of introducing these foods into the environment, our bodies, or the bodies of our offspring. (Yours too are at risk, whether you are aware of it or not.) To take the steps you have currently taken is wrong. I ask that all sales of GE foods be stopped. Short of that, the current proposed labeling and testing standards are too lax. If I choose not to eat GE foods, I have the right to easily accessible information so I can choose. As an aside, my sister used to work for the FDA, and I am all too well aware from talking with her of how economic and political forces conspire to create unfair and unsound policies, like the proposed labeling standards and minimum testing procedures. Your actions are irresponsible to the point of criminal neglect. Thanks, John Huff
