I am begging the FDA to live up to its civic responsibility for the health of the nation.  You MUST 
require mandatory pre-market safety testing of genetically engineered food for at least 7 generations of that food and the other life forms that food impacts
Require pre-market environmental review
Require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods
Ensure public access to adequate information for independent review of the safety of each individual food item
 
The FDA must stop being an industrial lap dog and do its job to ensure a safe food suppy for all americans.  Judith Weiss
