Dear Sir/Madam:
The FDA has a responsibility to all American citizens to ensure that all
genetically modified foods are safe before they come to market.  I urge you
to require the following:
* mandatory pre-market safety testing of all genetically modified foods or
food ingredients
* pre-market environmental review of genetically modified crops, foods, or
food ingredients
* mandatory labeling of any foods containing genetically modified
ingredients
* guaranteed public access to adequate information for independent review of
tests conducted or any other information gathered concerning the safety of
genetically modified foods.
In addition, the Food and Drug Administration should impose no restrictions
on the voluntary labeling of non-genetically modified foods.
