Since downed animals comprise such a small percentage of animals slaughtered, and prohibiting their marketing will cause no undue economic hardship, I implore you to help us eradicate their horrendous and unnecessary pain and suffering. It is impossible to move downed animals humanely. They are pushed and shoved with tractors or dragged with chains. These inhumane processes cause injuries ranging from bruises and abrasions, to broken bones and torn ligaments. I have volunteered with these animals, and other farm animals, in the past. It is sad to see how they are treated. Unless you have seen this, it is unlikely you can comprehend the cruelty that they endure. Thank you for your time and consideration. Again, please end their suffering. Sincerely, Jennifer Fantuz 4045 Vacation Lane ARlington, VA 22207 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
