Since downed animals comprise such a small percentage of animals slaughtered, and prohibiting their marketing will cause no undue economic hardship, I implore you to help us eradicate their horrendous and unnecessary pain and suffering. It is impossible to move downed animals humanely. They are pushed and shoved with tractors or dragged with chains. These inhumane processes cause injuries ranging from bruises and abrasions, to broken bones and torn ligaments. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Michelle Marcus New Jersey, USA
