Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to request that you grant permission to end the slaughter of
downed animals.  I do not believe humans should be allowed to consume meats
obtained from these animals.  In addition, the entire process of moving
these creatures is inhumane and heartless.  If use of these animals is
banned, this might provide some incentive for the industry to provide better
care for the animals, reducing the number that become "downed".
Please act on this petition.
