I am hoping my e-mail gets to the right people and is not ignored.  It is in 
regard to the slaughtering  and using downed animals at the stockyards. It 
should very definitely be prohibited. They should be treated humanely, and 
not drug around with chains and disposed of.  They have feelings too, and 
it's about time it is stopped.  Also,if they were treated and handled 
differently, this would not happen in the first place.  For your information, 
I am referring to Docket Number  98P-0151/CP1.  I think it is time for the 
government  to step in and put this to a halt.  Again, I have faith this will 
get in the proper hands and not  be tossed or ignored  This needs 
attention.!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you    Carol  from Iowa, who has been raised 
around farm animals, and they were treated the proper way. I do know what I"m 
talking about .
