Dear Commissioner Henney,

I am a member of the Union of Concerned Scientists, and wish to join my voice into the crowd urging the FDA to establish a registry of antibiotic use in animals.  I am also a family physician in practice for about seven years, and I am careful with antibiotic prescriptions in my patients.  While not the only contributor to the increase in antibiotic resistance, overuse in healthy animals is a significant element of the problem.  In order to really assess how significant, we need good information about how much and what antibiotics are being used.  

I encourage you to make this a top priority. Please let me know what action you plan to take on this issue.  Thank you.
