Dear Dr. Henney,

     As a biologist, I am greatly concerned about the amount of antibiotics being used on livestock in the United States.  Particularly worrisome to me is the increase in antibiotic resistant microorganisms that threaten humans and livestock.  I have long been concerned about this problem, and recently I learned, from the Union of Concerned Scientists, that currently there is not accurate information available about the amount/type/etc. of antibiotics being used.  Since livestock antibiotic use can have such serious societal problems, I think it would be wise for the FDA to collect and make available this kind of data.
