Kyle 837 Barrington, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230 313-822-7457 kyle56@msn.com I am the mother of a 3.5 year old boy who has been taking OTC products containing PPA regularly for 2 years. He is unable to take psuedoephedrine. HIS QUALITY OF LIFE DEPENDS ON THIS MEDICATION!!! Without it he suffers from constant congestion and post nasal drip that causes him to vomit frequently. Until he was placed on this medication he vomited until he developed an aversion to food. It progressed until he would vomit at the sight of food. With the PPA his congestion has been controlled to the point that the vomiting stopped and so has his aversion to food. I ran out of products containing PPA 2 days ago and already his problems are returning. We are depending on this medication until he is old enough for surgical evaluation to correct his sinus condition. I cannot imagine returning to the life we had before he started taking PPA. WE NEED THIS MEDICATION! Although there were serious side effects to be considered it certainly does not seem to be serious enough to pull it from the market. There are many prescription drugs available that have much more serious effects than PPA. Why not make it a prescription only drug so that patients can evaluate the risks with their physicians? If there is ANY WAY to obtain this drug please contact me. Thank you.
