This drug was prescribed by our veterinarian for our dog who had very little bladder control. PPA is a "wonder drug" for this use. We went through a similar situation with another dog and after 6-8 months on PPA, he is now able to control his bladder. The dog we currently have who has this problem responded IMMEDIATELY to PPA and currently takes 50mg per day. We tried to take her down to 25, but her previous symptoms returned immediately. This drug has a wonderful use for veterinary purposes. You probably won't get a lot of comments in this regard, but please do consider its use for this purpose. One of the most frequent reasons people put dogs to sleep is because of problems with urinating in the house. Our dog will urinate without even knowing she is doing it when she isn't on PPA, when she is on it, she has no accidents whatsoever. Our local pharmacists already can't get PPA due to the FDA alerts issued so far. I've been told the suppliers won't ship it. Please, if there is a means of approving the drug for veterinary use, I'm sure there are many who use it for this purpose who will be very grateful. Any consideration and assistance you can render in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Linda Everard Liberty, SC
