Subject: Downed animals

We are very concerned regarding the slaughter of downed animals. Apparently
these animals are very mistreated, which causes so much suffering that we
are no longer eating beef, especially as we feel there is also a health risk
connected to this practice. We understand that you have already ruled that
any ground beef from these cattle not be used for human consumption;
however, we would like you to support any slaughter of these animals, as per
Docket Number 98P-0151/CPI.
