As a consumer and organic gardener, it has always been important to me to provide my family with the best food possible. Now that ability is threatened with the possibility of genetically engineered foods being put on the marketplace shelves, and I would have no way of knowing which product contains genetically engineered items and which does not! If companies are going to be allowed to include GE ingredients in their products, I strongly believe they MUST be the ones to include that information in CLEAR terms on their package information. I believe it is my right to choose which product I want, once the new product has been correctly identified. Mind you, also, I personally believe it is not in the best interests of humanity to so alter our basic foods. I fear for drastic problems down the road because of this. However, I also feel the consumer has a basic right to an INFORMED choice. Thank you.
