Dear FDA, I am encouraged by your new policies on genetically engineered (GE) foods. Your agency has taken a sensible approach with respect to safety testing and mandatory labeling for GE foods. Your "notification" policy is reasonable, and is a responsible approach to the available scientific evidence rather than the scaremongering that seems popular at the moment. I am also highly supportive of your new "voluntary labeling" policy, since to require something more harsh would likely stop progress in this important arena. Your proposed rules appropriately address serious concerns, and appear to be a decision made to serve the nation. I trust you will take my continuing support, along with the thousands of others, into serious consideration. Sincerely, Marc Gordon 1474 Samedra Street Sunnyvale, CA 94087 mgordon@inhale.com Marc Gordon
