Dear Corporate and Government Leaders, Genetically engineered food ingredients or crops should not be allowed on the market until: 1) Independent safety testing demonstrates they have no harmful effects on human health or the environment, 2) They are labeled to ensure the consumer's right-to-know, and 3) The biotechnology corporations that manufacture them are held responsible for any harm. As a health concious consumer, I try to buy only organic products. I do not want to eat GE foods and I think that every consumer has the right to know exactly what is in the food that they are purchasing. Just because our government wants to rush head first into the GE Products and pronounce that they are safe for consumption, does not mean that they have the RIGHT to force their opinions on what is safe or not safe for us to eat. WE have a right to know exactly how our food is produced! Sincerely rose Mason 14552 Waterview Circle Addison, Texas 75001
