Dear Corporate and Government Leaders, Genetically engineered food ingredients or crops should not be allowed on the market until: 1) Independent safety testing demonstrates they have no harmful effects on human health or the environment, 2) They are labeled to ensure the consumer's right-to-know, and 3) The biotechnology corporations that manufacture them are held responsible for any harm. As the mother of two small children, I take the job of feeding them VERY seriously. It takes me a long time to shop because I read EVERY label. I no longer spend my family's hard earned money on food that is genetically altered or contains undesirable additives (preservatives, artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, MSG, etc.). I hope I live to see the day when big companies stop putting profits ahead of the health of our nation. Sincerely Maria Tyrie 10 Brentwood Drive New City, New York 10956
