I support MANDATORY Labeling of genetically modified, 'bioengineered' foods. I am the type of person who reads the labels on foods. If the FDA allows food producers the option of leaving off critical information regarding the genetic source of the foods, I (and others like me) will not be able to make consumer choices based upon my values. This is why I OPPOSE Docket 00D-1598 Voluntary Labeling Indicating Whether Foods Have Been Developed Using Bioengineering.
