Voluntary labeling is about the same as not requiring labeling at all. I consider GMO products as being strictly experimental and feel outraged that the Federal government has allowed these products to go on the market without proper testing, endangering society as a whole. As an American I expect to have the right to determine if the food that I and my family eat is safe. This right is denied when experimental and controversial products are allowed on the market unlabeled. For this to happen is a travesty and indicates to me that the Federal government is not acting in the interests of the people.
