I beleive the FDA needs to reconsider its stance on PPA as it clearly has a very safe record for the past 30 years on the OTC market. There have been very few incidents where there were harmful side effects, and most of them were probably from people that overdosed and/or abused PPA, which is almost always safe when taken in recommended dosages. There are many other OTC drugs that have significantly worse side effects, such as asprin or any of the anti-inflammatory OTC drugs, some of which have even lead to death. PPA is so widely used in a variety of different types of OTC drugs, everything from alakseltzer to asthma medicine to fat loss drugs. One form of PPA, the naturally occuring l-norephedrine, is the most effective and safe fat-loss supplement I've ever used. It works great, even better then any prescription fat loss drugs, and is fairly inexpensive since its OTC. It has the potential to have harmful side effects, but this is only in cases where there is overdosing and/or abuse of the drug, and just like anything (such as alcohol, tobacco, or even asprin), when taken to excess there can be harmful side effects. Trust the consumer to make their own decisions on this drug, as almost everyone uses it safely. The American public is smart enough to make the decision whether or not to use PPA, and the FDA should allow us that option, and not exclude one of the few effective fat loss OTC drugs on the market to be taken off the shelves due to someone who abuses the drug. Please reconsider the banning of this substance, as its effects are so wide-ranging and so many people will be left without an effective and efficient means of fat loss.
