Dear People Who Are In Charge of These Things:
Please give us, the citizens of the United States of America, the right to choose how our food is grown and prepared. This is for both sides of the GE foods issue: those who prefer not to consume them and those who do prefer them. Either way, how are we to know?
Given the proven inability of any bureaucracy--public or private--to monitor its own members and their behavior, I would feel much better if labeling were a matter of law rather than the whim of extremely interested parties.
I may still choose GE foods but it will be an informed choice.
