I feel very strongly that it is imperative that genetically modified ingredients be listed in foods as such. There should be no question that people have the right to know about the food they choose to eat and whether or not any perceived risks involved are ones they are comfortable with. The very idea of Voluntary labeling is ludicrous. The only foods that would be labeled would be ones the public would already know whether or not they would contain bioengineered ingredients. The labels then would be mere window dressing.
