Please register my concern that the FDA should require labeling for all bioengineered foods. The basic principle that an informed consumer has the right to make a choice is being ignored. We have seen time and time again that so-called voluntary efforts have been fruitless.
I insist on the ability to select what food I buy and eat based on an informed opinion. Bioengineering as a field is too new and moveing too fast to simultaneously claim that there is no evidence of a problem. LACK OF EVIDENCE IS NOT PROOF OF ABSENCE.
Let consumers make informed choices.
