Comments for FDA General
Questions
1. General Comments The dangers of genetically engineered foods have been well documented throughout Europe and the United States. The porposed FDA guidelines regarding genetically engineered foods do not provide consumers with adequate information to make safe food choices. All food containing genetically engineered ingredients should be required to contain this information on the food label. By its very nature genetic engineering alters food ingredients and therefore this information is essential for consumers to be informed about the contents of their food. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to hearing about the revised consumer-oriented, rather than industry-oriented guidelines.
