Subject: unregulated antibiotic use in animals

Commissioner Jane Henney,
There is an urgent need to regulate and reduce the large amounts of 
antibiotics currently given to animals - cattle pigs chickens etc.  Human 
resistence to many forms of antibiotics is a direct reaction to the millions 
of pounds of various drugs given to our food sources. Over 70% of all 
antibiotics are used on the animals we eat.  The increased cases of cancer 
are also believed by many to be caused by this overdosing of drugs in our 
food chain.  Please set up an independent enquiry for the public's health.
