Dear Dr. Henney:

I am writing this letter in order to urge you to take action on gathering
data on the use of antibiotics
in agriculture. It is my understanding that the efficacy of some antibiotics
in treating diseases in human
beings is being compromised by the widespread use of antibiotics in
agriculture.  It is in my opinion a
matter of extreme urgency that use of antibiotics for such purposes be
minimized, and I therefore ask
you to devise a reporting system in order to monitor such use.

so that I know this letter has been received.  Thank you for your attention
to this matter.
