These antibiotics are building up immunity in the consumers--us Americans--and their over-use is contributing to the inability to control disease. Now at the beginning of the new administration it is imperative that notice be taken of this threat to the health of all citizens and the reporting begin. The Union of Concerned Scientists have done studies that point to an alarming increase in the use of antibiotics, especially for animal feeding, but the forces of the government are needed to do consistent and reliable checking.
