As the individual who teaches our med students and residents about the health consequences of environmental degradation and also about issues related to the pharmaceutical industry, i strongly urge you to develop a national antibiotic reporting system so that we can track not only the overuse of anbtibiotics, but also the role that excessive agricultural antibiotic use plays in the development of antibiotic-resistant organismal infections in humans
