How in good conscience can the FDA continue to approve fluoroquinolones for use in veterinary products,(medicated poultry feed) while at the same time making a public statement of concern with the establishment of the "FDA Task Force on Antimicrobiol Resistance" to deal with your concerns about a world recognized problem, the development of antibiotic resistance. The generic drug scandal of the past will appear as child's play when compared to the repercussions of this continual disregard for human health concerns. We continually hear about the world wide development of new resistant infective organism yet continue down the path to certain disaster with no apparent regard for the warning signs being raised. Dr. Henney, you appear to missing one of those instance "to do good" that you spoke of in your speech a few weeks ago by allowing the Center For Veterinary Medicine to continue to approve drugs of last choice in humans for use in animal products!
