Our non-profit foundation encourages you to grant the request for petition 98P-0151/CP1 to prohibit the slaughter of disabled livestock. This action will help insure that citizens will not ingest Bovine Spongiform Virus. Disabled and diseased cattle have an increased chance of infection of BSE. Also, disabled animals should be either sent to a sanctuary or humanely euthanized. The routine treatment of these animals is grotesque in the extreme.
