Food should be labeled regarding its contents and makeup so the public can make an informed decision regarding whether or not they choose to consume it. Just as someone with a severe allergy to eggs would avoid Ceasar salad dressing or other products that list eggs as an ingredient, the public has a right to know when bioengineering or additives were employed in any of the items used to make the consumed food. The public has a right to be informed. Only clear labeling of products, including the use of bioengineering, can do this. This labeling should not be voluntary--IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY.
