|
Whether or not GE foods, especially those developed using transgenic engineering, are safe for both humans and the environment in the long term, is still unproven. Consumers have the right to know if the products they are consuming contain genes from other species. Products must be labelled! Even if safety were not an issue, this information is necessary for those consumers who for religous, personal and/or philisophical reasons are vegans.
