First of all I'd like to say that I am not against bioengineering. However, I think it is very important that bioengineered food products be manditorily labeled as such.
If food products are labeled, I will be able to have a choice as too whether or not to purchase that product. If companies are allowed to voluntarily label their products I believe they will choose the path to NOT label them.
The bottom line is to let the public make the choice on whether or not they will purchase bioengineered foods. If the food items are labeled as bioengineered and the public still buys them then we'll all benefit, the buying public and the food companies.
