This docket is an outrage. Not only does your agency refuse to label genetically modified foods, but now you want to severly restrict companies that want to label their products as non-GMO. The FDA's submissiveness to the wishes of the biotech and agbribusiness industries is unbelievable and infuriating to consumers like me. The industry doesn't like the term GMO so now the FDA doesn't either. Your agency is right in line with the thinking of industry. Companies should have the right to label their products as non-GMO because as many as one-quarter of American consumers will seek such products out. Yet with this regulation, your agency will take legal action against such companies! I strongly oppose this regulation and the previous one on premarket reviews. Both proposals pander the desires of industry, while limiting the choice and leaving consumers open to the unknown risks of bioengieered foods.
