As the mother of a three-year old who is severely allergic to peanuts and shellfish, I wish to discuss the need for mandatory precautionary labeling. I plan to present examples of problems I have had in obtaining such information from companies and suggest the type of labeling I believe would be most helpful and necessary for allergic consumers.
