Please grant Farm Santuary's petition to prohibit the slaughter of downed animals.

Other countries have banned the cruel factory farm production practices of confining calves to veal crates, forcing laying hens to live in small wire cages, causing downed animals the suffering o.f withheld food, water or veterinarian care.

We, as the "greatest country", are barbaric in our practices of dragging downed animals to slaughter or pushing them with tractors or forklifts, which cause such injuries as bruises, abrasions, broken bones and torn ligaments.

Animals should not be subjected to such intense suffering, nor should people be subjected to the slaughter and marketing of these poor creatures for human food

We need to end the downed animal trade, and show the world we are a compassionate people.
