Questions
5. Should dietary supplements with a specific recommended use during pregnancy be required to bear specific warnings about use during pregnancy? Should all dietary supplements be required to bear such warnings? All dietary supplements should be requireed to contain factual and accurate information, especially with respect to any specific recommended uses. This is particularly true during pregnancy when an individual's normal biochemistry may undergo significant variation. The concepts of the free market depend greatly upon an individual's ability to make choices based on factual and accurate information. Accurate labeling is essential to the health of citizens and the health of the economy.
