STUDIES OF HEALTHY SUBJECTS

• Children who are clinically stable with a chronic illness

  • e.g., asthma
  • may be less risk/distress to do a non-therapeutic PK study when child not acutely ill
  • may be acceptable to study medications for conditions for which the patient may be at increased risk
  • must fulfill 45 CRF 46.404 or 46.406
