Information
The Ophthalmic Devices Panel will take place on Friday May 23, 2003 from
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Gaithersburg Marriott in Salons E, F & G.

Airport Express Shuttle Van (All
Airports)
Maryland Shuttle provides
shuttle van service from Regan National, Dulles International, and
Baltimore-Washington (BWI) International Airports to the Gaithersburg Holiday
Inn on a reservation basis only. The shuttle does not make regular scheduled
runs. You will need to call no later than one day prior to your
arrival and arrange for pickup. From
Ronald Reagan National Airport the fare is $23.00, from Dulles $23.00, and from
BWI $29.00. Fares quoted are for
one-way and late evening pick-ups (after 10 p.m.) are more expensive. For reservations, telephone 301-230-0000 or

MetroRail System (Ronald Reagan National Airport
only)
Service from Ronald Reagan National Airport to
Gaithersburg, Maryland is available for approximately $3.25 during peak hours
(weekdays, 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and $2.10 at all
other times, including weekends.
MetroRail, has a station located at the concourse (level 2) of the new
terminal. There is a pedestrian walkway
that takes you from the concourse to the farecard plaza. The walkway is accelerated by a series of
moving sidewalks and a pedestrian bridge that links to the Metro station with
the terminal.
At the station, board the Yellow Line train marked “Gallery
Place”, transfer at the Gallery
Place station to the Red Line
train marked “Shady Grove”. Exit at the Shady Grove metro stop.
Contact the Gaithersburg Marriott, at (301) 590-0044 and request the
hotel shuttle for pick up. The hotel
shuttle service is available for hotel guests any time before 9:00 p.m.
Amtrak
If traveling by train, the MetroRail can be boarded
at Union Station and the fare is approximately $3.25 to Gaithersburg. Take the Red Line train marked “Shady
Grove “, then follow the MetroRail instructions above.
From Dulles Airport take the Dulles Access
Road, exiting at I-495 North (Bethesda, Maryland). Follow I-495 across the
American Legion Bridge into Maryland.
Continue on until you reach the junction of I-495 and I-270. Take I-270 North (left fork at the junction)
to exit 9. Take exit 9B and turn onto
Sam Eig Highway West and stay in the left lane. Take the first left onto Fields Road, then the first left again
onto Rio Boulevard. The Gaithersburg Marriott
Washingtonian Center is on your left past the Rio Complex.
From Ronald Reagan National Airport take George Washington
Parkway towards I-495 North. Follow signs for Parkway North and for Dulles
Airport. Stay on the Parkway for
approximately 10 miles, exiting onto I-495 North (to Maryland). Follow I-495 across the American Legion
Bridge until you reach the junction of I-495 and I-270. Take I-270 North (left fork at the junction)
north to exit 9. Take exit 9B and turn
onto Sam Eig Highway West and stay in the left lane. Take the first left onto Fields Road, then the first left again
onto Rio Boulevard. The Gaithersburg
Marriott Washingtonian Center is on your left past the Rio Complex.
From the east take I-495 West (toward
Silver Spring) until you reach the junction of I-495 and I-270. Take I-270
North (right fork at the junction) north to exit 9. Take exit 9B and turn onto
Sam Eig Highway- West, stay in the left lane. Take the first left onto Fields
Rd., then the next left onto Rio Blvd. The Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian
Center is on your left past the Rio Complex.
From
the south take I-495 West,
crossing over the American Legion Bridge entering Maryland. Continue on I-495 north for approximately
six (6) more miles until you reach the I-495/I-270 junction. Take I-270 North (left fork at the junction)
to Exit 9. Take Exit 9B and turn onto
Sam Eig Highway West and stay in the left lane. Take the first left onto Fields Road, then the first left again
onto Rio Boulevard. The Gaithersburg Marriott
Washingtonian Center is on your left past the Rio Complex.
