I am a PWC and have been suffering with this disease for over ten years. I can tell you that without the help of the
opiate pain killers, I don't have any quality of life and it
is very difficult to get doctors to understand stand that as
a PWC, it isn't a matter of fear of addiction that they need
to be concerned about, without these drugs I know there is
a higher risk of suicide, because I for one can only take the constant pain for a very short time! With only enough medicine to last for exactly thirty days, not taking into account the days that do occur when I need an extra dose, my thoughts are constantly plagued with how am I going to
deal with the pain, take it now or take it later! Either way,
it means I have to try and deal with excrutiating pain, all
because someone is worried I'll get addicted ! I only wish
doctors,as well as others in control of these drugs, could
walk a mile in my shoes!
