Questions
1. General Comments I have been in chronic to severe pain for 4 years, with no avail for relief from my Dr.. I was recently referred to a neurologist, who has prescribed an epileptic drug Keppra, for my pain. I am still in pain, and my Dr. does not seem to care, he says I shouldn't take any addicting pain medications', but it is fine to take something for seizures, which is not my medical diagnosis, and is not helping with my pain. I am so tired of living this way, I have gained so much weight, due to being in pain, and not able to move around. I believe if there is a medical reason which in my case, an MRI scan revealed neuromusketal disorders, and femoral nerve entrapment, I feel my bill of rights are stripped from me. I am seeing a psychiatrist now, for my condition, because it is causing depression, and anxiety, at times I just want to give up. Is this the American way? Thank you for your concern.
